The need daily care and affection and would require immediate attention if something happened to you!
You will want to be sure that your pets go to a good home if you no longer can care for them. And you will also want the pet caregivers to have all the information they need to be able to continue caring for your pets in the way they are accustomed to. There are several options to consider when it comes to arranging care for pets and most of it can be done in your Will and/or by drafting a plan that includes your intentions and wishes which can be attached to your Will.
A good start is to prepare an important fact sheet for each animal you own. This is why we created the Care For My Pet printable form! Information such as pet food type, medical history, medication, location of animal care paperwork (certificates, vaccination charts, medical records, insurance, etc.), veterinarian contact information, etc. should be available and easy for your loved ones to locate in case something happens to you.
